Lakewood has unique opportunities for residents to become involved in the community by volunteering to serve in various capacities.
Lakewood has an all volunteer Fire Department and EMS service. Volunteers are always needed. Contact our Fire Department Chief. Lakewood also seeks volunteers to serve on our official village boards. Opportunities exist on the Village Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals. Recommendations to these boards are made by the respective chairman to the Mayor and are approved by the Board of Trustees. And numerous opportunities exist to volunteer for any of our community committees. From the Planning and Zoning Committees to the Parks & Recreation Committee volunteers are needed who are interested in making a difference in the future of Lakewood. |
